Frontier nucleic acid technologies in gene therapy of cancer

frontier laboratories

HEAD of the PROJECT

3rd year PhD student
AIM OF THE PROJECT
To develop frontier advancements in the field of cancer research and lay the foundation for the development of high-tech drugs for the individualized treatment of oncological diseases

KEY RESULTS

1. Thorough selection of housekeeping genes, the suppression of which will lead to inhibition of vital cellular functions and finally apoptosis of cancer cells. Thorough selection of cancer marker RNAs for different types of cancer diseases.
2. Development and optimization of a molecular DNA nanomachine, based on ASO and siRNA technologies, with a therapeutic function, effectively activated in cells in the presence of oncomarkers. This also includes intracellular delivery and oligonucleotide protection research
